Description
Arthrex SVF Treatment Training
Description
The course provides participants with an overview of the orthopedic applications of the stroma-vascular fraction (SVF) derived from adipose tissue, which contains elevated concentrations of mesenchymal stem cells (AdSC). In addition to the scientific basics of SVF, the instructors impart personal experiences and initial therapy results to the participants. This course is particularly suitable for physicians with experience using ACP who would like to expand their therapy spectrum.
Learning Outcomes
The course provides a scientific overview of ACP and SVF as well as their application in orthopedic diseases. During the hands-on portion of the course, participants learn the basics of lipoaspiration at the most common harvesting sites (abdominal area, thigh) together with the processing of adipose tissue to obtain the stromavascular fraction, which contains AdSCs in increased concentration. The instructor explains how to integrate the procedure into the clinical routine and what to consider when dealing with patients.
