Description

Innovations in Total Shoulder Arthroplasty

Description

This 1-day course focuses on the comprehensive management and surgical treatment of pathologies of the shoulder from the orthopedic specialty. This course is designed to provide current information on specific topics such as anatomic shoulder replacement, subscapularis fixation options, reverse shoulder replacement, and various options when encountering revision scenarios. The course format will consist of lectures, interactive discussions, and hands-on training of surgical techniques.

Learning Outcomes

Participants will be introduced to the principles and surgical techniques for reconstruction/treatment in total shoulder arthroplasty in both theory and practice. The implantation of anatomical and reverse shoulder prostheses can be learned and performed independently, step-by-step in hands-on sessions under supervision.
