Endoscopic Spine Surgery:
Description
This introductory course provides a focused overview of preoperative shoulder arthroplasty planning using the Virtual Implant Positioning System (VIP). Through concise didactic sessions, case-based discussions, and hands-on planning exercises, participants are introduced to research-driven planning principles, algorithmic glenoid and humeral workflows, and the practical application of VIP across anatomic, fracture, and revision scenarios.
Learning Outcomes
Participants will gain a foundational understanding of evidence-based preoperative planning and its impact on shoulder arthroplasty outcomes. They will learn to efficiently plan glenoid and humeral components using VIP, evaluate implant positioning through simulation tools, and translate virtual plans into surgical execution using targeter-based pin placement.
