Description

Arthrex Trauma Series: Shoulder

Endoscopic Spine Surgery:

Description

This one-day advanced course is designed for experienced residents and practicing orthopedic and trauma surgeons and focuses on current concepts and operative strategies for the management of shoulder and proximal humerus fractures and injuries. Evidence-based lectures provide an advanced understanding of fracture analysis, treatment planning, and contemporary surgical techniques for osseous and selected soft-tissue injuries. Practical exercises using Sawbone models and/or cadaveric specimens enable participants to further develop their surgical skills while practicing modern reduction, fixation, and reconstruction techniques. Interactive case discussions and direct exchange with experienced faculty members encourage critical evaluation of treatment strategies and support the optimization of clinical outcomes.

Learning Outcomes

Upon completion of this course, participants will have an enhanced understanding of contemporary treatment strategies for shoulder and proximal humerus injuries. They will be able to evaluate complex injury patterns, select appropriate surgical approaches and critically assess available treatment options. Through hands-on practice on sawbone models and/or cadaver specimens, participants will further refine their skills in surgical approaches, reduction, fixation and reconstruction techniques. In addition, they will strengthen their surgical decision-making capabilities and discuss strategies for preventing and managing complications.
